Random thought

I music. It's my first passion & how my writing was born. Random fact... you will find one of my written songs in my debut novel about a time in my life I felt lost.

When I'm in a bad mood, music can remedy that. If I'm in a writing funk I can turn on my ipod & "feel" anything - the inspiration comes. Music is the ultimate healer to any emotion and also the trigger to any emotion (break up, loss, love, happiness, fulfillment... etc.)

What is your favorite song right now that moves you?

Mine~ Applause by Lady Gaga makes me Dance, Counting Stars by OneRepublic makes me sing at the top of my lungs, Demons by Imagine Dragons, I love Inscape or Bloodstream by Stateless, anything by The Neighbourhood. The list goes on and on.

Just a note

Well this is a slow tedious process, one I'm welcoming with open arms. I'm nearing the end of all my hard work on my debut novel and already writing Book 2 in the Shifting series. I'm ready to reveal the cover, release Chapter 1 and then *jumps up and down clapping like a girl excited* RELEASE the whole friggin book to you! Counting down the days. My release is set for November but look for it earlier. I'm anxious and impatient. ; )

Sunday Snippet

***SUNDAY SNIPPET***

Escape the Doubt

Josh went to my bedroom while I grabbed a band-aid from the bathroom cabinet. When I step back into my room I find him standing by my dresser reading the poem I had written on my mirror with a sharpie.

The air I breathe is filled with his scent

The music speaks everything I meant

Meant to say but never did tell you

You haunt me where I lie alone without you

Feeling your touch as it vanishes away

My own heart is the one I betrayed

I just watch him for a moment. His tanned skin glistens from the sun filtering through my window. His lean muscles are gorgeous. He has his hand lifted and is tracing the lines along a heart I drew last night with his index finger.

It is 2 broken halves, one is black and the other is red. It felt like my own heart, broken with half of it dead and unwilling to love, the other half alive and wanting to grab onto it forever.
